Tandoori Tofu

Tandoori Tofu

Ingredients:

1-2 packages of extra firm tofu (low fat if desired)
1-2 tablespoons of tandoori powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon red chili pepper
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/8 cup olive oil
1 onion
1 clove garlic

Instructions:

  1. cut tofu into small squares
  2. heat (medium) olive oil in cooking pan (non-stick preferred)
  3. heat tofu on medium heat until light brown and a bit firmer
  4. add tandoori powder (1 or 2 tablespoons depending on how many packages of tofu you are using), salt, red chili pepper
  5. can add diced onion and chopped garlic at this time if wanted.
  6. stir on medium heat until tandoori powder blends in
  7. add lemon juice
  8. stir for a few more minutes
